Starbucks: Before
When Starbucks first opened in 1971, it was a single store in the historic Seattle Pike Place Market. They offered some of the world's best fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. Starbucks' name was inspired by Moby Dick and evoked romance on the seas and the seafaring tradition of early coffee traders.
